With the theme of the mountain\u2019s static yet dynamic, strong yet gentle character, Paik Jinhyeon has continuously studied stainless steel as the material suitable for the theme, and expressed various aspects of city and nature, strength and gentleness, force and silence coming together.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Paik\u2019s longing for nature while living in the city is expressed through such cold and artificial material. The artist conveys the rest, comfort, and awe of its vitality gained from the mountains and the sea through the persistent labor of refining and polishing the stainless steel until it shines. The surrounding environment is reflected on the mountains created by the aligned rectangular pipe surfaces, and the city and nature overlap in the work.
