오래된 집은 현실에서 느끼는 일종의 불안감에서 도피하기 위한 어린시절의 기억을 대변한다. 오래된 집 아래 달린 잠망경을 통해 본 집의 내부에는 바쁜 일상을 살아가는 현대인들의 모습이 보여 기대한 모습과 괴리감 느끼게 된다. 작품은 찬란한 문명으로 빛나는 미래의 풍경을 욕망하는 동시에 안락한 어린 시절의 풍경을 그리워하는 우리들의 모순적 욕망 속에서 숨겨진 불안과 두려움을 직면하게 한다.

The old house represents the childhood memories to escape from the anxieties of reality. Looking into the periscope that peeks in the interior of the house, the scenery of busy modern people is quite conflicting. This artwork leads the viewers to face our self-contradiction of desiring a bright future gleaming with high-end civilization, yet longing for the comforting scenes of moments from childhood.
