작가는 [확장하는 드로잉]에서 자신이 맺어 온 다양한 인간관계와 인연을 아크릴과 컬러 드로잉으로 재현하였다. 작가는 각각 다른 크기의 아크릴판을 제작해 그 위에 다양한 인연과 고유의 기억들을 컬러 브러시로 표현하였다. 각 드로잉은 기억하고 싶은 순간이나 경험 또는 숨기고 싶은 비밀들을 간직한 그림들이다. 아크릴판들을 따로 멀리 배치하거나 중첩시키기 혹은 한 겹씩 쌓아 올리기 등을 통해 하나의 커다란 그림으로 완성하였다. 노원구의 은둔 청년을 지원하는 프로그램 [느슨한 컴퍼니]의 지원자들이 작품 제작에 참여해 관계의 고립과 거부의 원인이 되었던 과거의 상처들을 드로잉으로 표현하였다. 작은 조각들이 큰 그림으로 모이는 과정을 지켜봄으로써 관객은 각각의 인연과 관계가 서로 연결되어 있다는 사실을 시각적으로 경험한다.
In her artwork titled [Expanding Drawing], Kim Jihye recreates diverse relationships she has with people in acrylic and color drawings. Through color brushes on acrylic plates of varying sizes that she has prepared, colored brushstrokes describe her cherished memories, experiences, and even secrets she wishes to hide.
Through placing the plates apart, overlapped, or stacked, the acrylic plates become one gigantic painting.
The volunteers of [Loose Company] that supports reclusive youths living in Nowon-gu participated in the production through contributing their drawings, expressing the past wounds that caused isolation and rejection in relationship
By watching the process of small pieces becoming one large work, the viewers can visually experience the interconnectedness of each relationship.
