이 작품은 타인의 삶을 설명하거나 섣불리 대변하려 하지 않고, 서로 다른 삶이 잠시 마주하고 접속할 수 있는 장소를 제공한다. 서로 다른 곳을 연결해 주는 다리 위의 설치물은, 거대 알고리즘에 가려지거나 자본과 힘의 논리에 의해 드러나지 않은 존재들의 삶을 추적하는 공간으로 작동한다. 여기에 새겨진 이름이나 단어들은 노동자, 이민자, 소수자와 사회적 약자 등 쉽게 기록되지 않는 이들의 목소리와 기억을 수집한 것이며, 관람자는 이 안에서 동시대를 관통하는 질문을 발견하게 된다. 이를 통해 보이지 않던 존재를 다시 바라보고, 함께 살아가는 시대를 공감하게 되는 새로운 감각의 가능성을 탐색하기 바라는 희망을 담았다.
This work does not attempt to explain or hastily speak on behalf of others. Rather, it offers a space where different lives can intersect and connect for a brief moment. Situated on a bridge linking two distinct places, the installation serves as a space for tracing the lives of those that are not visible by vast algorithms or hidden by the logic of capital and power. The names and words inscribed here bring together the voices and memories of those whose stories often go unrecorded, including workers, immigrants, minorities, and socially marginalized groups. Within this space, viewers encounter questions that resonate across our time. The work embodies the hope that the viewers will see again those who have been invisible and explore the possibility of a new sensibility that fosters empathy for the world we live together.
