2022년 노원달빛산책 출품작입니다. 코로나 팬데믹으로 인해 단절된 사회적 연대를 회복하고자 하는 의미를 담았습니다. 세종대왕의 ‘월인천강지곡’과 새벽 우물가에서 맑은 물에 비친 달을 바라보며 소원을 빌던 우리 선조들의 정서에서 영감을 얻었습니다. 한지로 만든 달 모양의 등(燈)이 부드러운 빛을 발하고, 따뜻한 등불은 물 위에 반사되어 고요하고 은은한 달빛을 만들어냅니다. 물에 비친 하나의 이미지(달)로써, 고립된 개인들이 동시에 공유할 수 있는 공동체적 감수성을 표현하고자 했습니다. 둥근 달을 바라보며 우리 선조들은 어떤 염원과 희망을 품었을까요?
A work for Nowon Moonlight Walk 2022. This sculpture seeks to restore social solidarity fractured by the COVID-19 pandemic. Inspired by King Sejong’s “Songs of the Moon’s Reflection on a Thousand Rivers” and the sentiments of ancestors who once gazed at the moon’s reflection in clear dawn wells while making wishes, the artwork creates a poignant metaphor of shared experience. A moon-shaped lantern crafted from hanji paper emanates a soft light, with its warm glow reflecting gently on water in a traditional clay pot, creating a serene, subtle moonscape. Through this single image of a moon reflected in water, the artwork aims to express a communal sensitivity that isolated individuals can simultaneously share. As viewers contemplate the round moon, one cannot help but wonder: What hopes and yearnings did our ancestors hold in their hearts when they gazed upward?

2024 노원달빛산책을 책임있게 준비하는 스튜디오다. 지역에 기반한 공공미술, 한국적 미감을 달빛에서 찾고자 노력 하고 있으며 빛과 조각을 따뜻한 조형언어로 풀어내고 있다. 전스튜디오를 이끄는 전영일 작가는 90년대 후반부터 연등회를 통해 한국의 전통적인 미감과 조형언어를 다듬었으며 ‘노원달빛산책'의 예술총감독을 맡고 있다.
