The form of the book, created by applying the traditional stitching techniques of old books represented by Jikji, symbolizes the return to nature through the cyclical chain of connection of "book = paper = tree = nature = human = (again) book.” Since our ancestors sought truth by farming during the day and studying at night, the moonlight at midnight piercing the darkness resembles the light of truth. The monumental form of the reborn book and the stitched lines that reflect and cast external light create a huge gap in the perception of its form between day and night. Although each of these books holds a story of the moon for viewers to unfold, they also function like empty speech bubbles, serving as a medium that leads into an endless world of imagination, from fairy tales of the past to contemporary science.
