1. A Prayer for All Living Beings
The climate crisis and the collapse of ecosystems remind us that humanity and nature share a common fate. Nowon has long been committed to creating an environmentally sustainable city, and this year’s Nowon Moonlight Walk explores the environmental challenges that shape our shared future through creative artistic expression.
From animals and plants to the forces of climate, the exhibition carries a heartfelt sense of prayer for all beings with whom we share the Earth. Speaking for the environment is one of the most beautiful promises we can make for the future—and perhaps the message of hope that the new moon offers us.
2. A Wish for Peace and Coexistence
We live on a land where war has not truly ended, while conflicts continue to rage across the world. New Moon brings together works that reflect our shared hope for a world beyond division and hatred—one built on understanding, coexistence, and peace.
Enduring peace, human dignity, and artistic respect for one another are expressed through light sculptures that transcend borders, calculations, and logic. The longing for peace may be the oldest hope that New Moon seeks to embrace.
3. A Wish for a Better World
As the old era fades, small changes come together to usher in a new one. New Moon tells a story not from the perspective of a few, but of the well-being of all—a story that values solidarity over competition.
We seek to envision a better society—one where the old and the new come together, tradition and modernity coexist, and we can look to the future with hope.
