‘Drops’는 물방울이자 기억과 시간, 감정의 흔적을 표상하는 유기적 파편이며, 사라지는 순간과 축적되는 시간 사이를 부유하는 감각적 매개체이다. 각각의 ‘drops’가 지닌 색상과 더불어 공중에 부유하는 대형 ‘drop’은 마치 달이 빛을 반사하듯이 주변의 불빛을 반사하며 끊임없이 변주된다. 이처럼 장소와 환경에 따라 변화하고 관계 맺는 ‘Drops’를 통해 인간과 자연, 현실과 기억, 물질과 비물질의 경계를 재고하며 보이지 않는 기억과 감정의 층위를 시적이고 유동적인 풍경으로 확장한다.
“Drops” are organic fragments that signify droplets of water, memory and time, as well as the traces of emotion. They are also sensory mediators that drift between vanishing moments and accumulated time. Along with the individual colors of each “drop,” the large “drop” floating in the air endlessly transforms as it reflects the surrounding light, much like the moon reflecting light. Through these “Drops,” which change and form relationships according to place and environment, the work reconsiders the boundaries between humans and nature, reality and memory, the material and the immaterial, and expands the invisible layers of memory and emotion into a poetic and fluid landscape.
