is a collaborative installation created by two artists, Kim Kyung Hee and Shin Kyung Ha, that connects light and textile, tradition and modernity, and nature and space into a single landscape. The moonlight that permeates the jogakbo, Korean traditional patchwork a piece of cloth, softly spreads along the texture of the fabric and blends into the surrounding space. The two artists worked with different materials and expressions, but came together through the medium of “light,” expanding each other’s artistic realms and creating a unified spatial landscape. Moonlight, which has long symbolized hope, anticipation, cycles, and fullness, naturally spreads between the individual patches of the jogakbo.
In daylight, the colors and structure of the textile vividly show themselves, whereas after dark, the round moonlight illuminates the jogakbo and the surrounding space, creating yet another expression. Viewers are able to experience the moment when the imagery of tradition is transformed into a contemporary landscape of light.
