무중력

Zero Gravity

800×130×500cm

Our world is constantly impacted by the force of gravity, yet the human imagination and spirit always dream of new possibilities beyond its boundaries. This work explores the relationships between reality and the ideal, the material and the immaterial, existence and freedom, offering viewers an experience of drifting beyond the framework of everyday thought into infinite space and time. At the center of the work stands a pine tree from the entrance of Gounsa Temple, which was damaged in the wildfire in Uiseong, North Gyeongsang Province back in 2025. The wounded vitality of nature is integrated with a fine dust sensor that detects the air quality around Danghyeoncheon Stream in real time, transforming it into multicolored light. Through this healing movement where technology, nature, and art come together, the work seeks to convey a message of comfort and recovery to both local residents affected by the wildfire and visitors alike.

김진우

Kim Jinwoo
